Transnet Port Terminals (TPT) is one of five operating divisions of Transnet SOC Limited, South Africa’s state-owned freight transport and handling company.
It is South Africa’s leading terminal operator responsible for loading and offloading cargo aboard vessels calling the seven South African ports.
Boasting a staff compliment of over 9000 across 16 cargo terminals, TPT’s operations target four major market sectors namely: automotive, containers, bulk and break bulk.
Under the new Transnet 4.0 strategy, TPT is aimed at repositioning the business as a facilitator of trade and among the world’s top five in the next five years.
