Adcock Ingram Holdings Limited is recruiting for the 12- month Pharmacy Sales Representative Graduate Learnership/ Programme 2024.

Location: Port Elizabeth, EC

Reporting to: Pharmacy Sales Manager – Prescription Division

Job Purpose

The opportunity to gain working experience in a South African pharmaceutical company. The objective of the learnership/programme is to provide newly qualified graduates with meaningful workplace experience in sales and marketing, working as a Sales representative in the Prescription division at Adcock Ingram.

Qualifications

Matric plus any of the following B degree or Honours:

✓ Business Administration
✓ Marketing
✓ Physiology
✓ Anatomy and Physiology
✓ Pharmacology
✓ Biotechnology
✓ Anatomy
✓ Medical Bioscience
✓ Biology

  • Driver’s licence
  • Sales experience of 0-2 years
  • Currently unemployed
  • Younger than 35 years

Skills and Competencies

  • Intermediate Computer Literate (MS Package)
  • Good interpersonal skills and self-driven/starter
  • Results driven.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Self- motivated, taking initiative.
  • Service orientation.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Must be able to work in a team and/or independently.
  • Outstanding organizational and time-management skills

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • To constantly achieve individual regional and divisional sales targets
  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with Independent and Retail Pharmacies
  • Ensure adherence to product marketing strategy through management of stock levels, merchandising, promotional activity at pharmacies, and dispensaries.
  • To identify opportunities in the market for new products and new growth areas for the business
  • Successfully implement sales and marketing strategies

  • Analysis of regional sales, competitor and market share data, develop strategies and action plans to maximize sales potential in the respective area.
  • To respond adequately and professionally to customer complaints and queries
  • Meet the requirements of the role with regards to:
    • Call rates.
    • Coverage
    • Sales targets
    • Call logging.
    • Sales analysis
