Job Purpose

The NNR’s Communications and Stakeholder Relations department has an opportunity for dynamic internship in Communications and Stakeholder Relations.

Internship: Communications and Stakeholder Relations

  • Location: Centurion, Gauteng
  • Closing Date: 15 July 2024


  • Grade 12
  • NQF Level 7 in Corporate Communications or Journalism
  • No working experience, graduate in search of internship to gain experience
  • Not have participated previously in any formal employment or internship/learnership programme
  • Be a South African citizen
  • Must be unemployed graduate under the age of 35

Skills and Competencies:

  • Good writing and verbal communication skills
  • Planning and event coordination
  • Self-time management
  • Conduct research to develop content for articles
  • Team player and good networker
  • Able to work on multiple tasks at the same time and deliver on adhoc tasks when required

Laboratory Technician

  • Location: Arcadia, Gauteng
  • Closing Date: 16 July 2024

Job description:

To provide radio-analytical services to the NNR for the dependent verification purposes. Perform radio-analysis for alpha, beta and gamma emitter using alpha spectrometry, gross alpha/beta counter and gamma spectrometry.

 Minimum requirements:

  • Minimum NQF level 7 in one of these related natural science qualifications (Chemistry, Physics, Analytical Chemistry or Applied Radiation Science)
  • Minimum of 3 years’ laboratory working experience in analytical or radio-analytical laboratory
  • 6 months vocational experience in a radiation protection environment would be an added advantage
