Instrument Technician

The Instrument Technician is accountable for executing specialised technical functions on systems such as, Allen-Bradley Rockwell Automation and FactoryTalk SCADA Packages to optimise mining processes within prescribed guidelines, policies and procedures.
A core accountability of the role is to maintain the highest possible safety standards in area of operation and influence.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 qualification or equivalent
- Instrument Mechanician Trade Certificate
- National Diploma in Electrical light current or N6 certificate in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 5 years’ experience of which 2 years’ on installation and maintenance of process control equipment
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in Hard Rock Mining, Shaft or TMM maintenance
- Sound knowledge of Allen-Bradley, Rockwell Automation and FactoryTalk SCADA Packages
- Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk-based medical examination at the Gold Fields Occupational Health Centre and pass a Heat Tolerance Screening test, and such other tests as may be required to assess the applicant’s suitability for employment

Superintendent Procurement

The Superintendent Procurement is accountable for the timely and cost-efficient procurement of goods and services according to defined specification and, ensuring that company ethics, policies and procedures are adhered to all times.
Minimum Requirements:
- National Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain, Procurement or related discipline
- At least 5 years’ experience within a mining or engineering environment, of which 3 years must be in a supervisory position
- Computer literate with proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
- Have relevant knowledge and an understanding of the SAP ERP Materials Management environment or similar type of programme/software and E Sourcing programmes
- Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk-based medical examination at the Gold Fields Occupational Health Centre and pass a Heat Tolerance Screening test, and such other tests as may be required to assess the applicant’s suitability for employment

Drill and Blast Specialist

The Drill & Blast Specialist is accountable for the delivery of high-quality drill and blast designs, rigorous Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) processes, as well as overseeing the coordination of underground drill and blast value chain activities.
The incumbent is required to contribute to the further establishment and refinement of ongoing learning, coaching and feedback systems, aimed at partnering with stakeholders to champion continuous operational improvement initiatives.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 qualification or equivalent
- Mine Overseer Certificate of Competency with experience as a Shift Supervisor or Mine Overseer
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in underground bulk mechanised mining, particularly in Long Hole Stoping or similar bulk production drilling and charge-up operations
- Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk-based medical examination at the Gold Fields Occupational Health Centre and pass a Heat Tolerance Screening test, and such other tests as may be required to assess the applicant’s suitability for employment

Supervisor Engineering

The Supervisor Engineering will be responsible for pre, and post inspection and oversight of components and spares selected for reconditioning, refurbishment and/or repairs to ensure compliance with required quality standards and specifications.
The incumbent will oversee the entire lifecycle of reconditioned units which includes inspection and testing from dispatch to final delivery.
A core accountability of the incumbent is to apply quality assurance and quality control expertise, while maintaining the integrity and reliability of reconditioned spares and collaborating with operational teams in processing warranty claims.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 or Equivalent
- Relevant Trade Certificate
- Drivers’ licence with no restrictions
- At least 5 years’ experience as an artisan in a Trackless environment
- At least 2 years’ supervisory experience within a mining or engineering environment
- Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk-based medical examination at the Gold Fields Occupational Health Centre and pass a Heat Tolerance Screening test, and such other tests as may be required to assess the applicant’s suitability for employment
