Mondelēz International is recruiting! Applications are open for the vacancy: Production Team Leads x10 (Operations Excellence Leads).
Location: Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape, South Africa
The role seeks to grow the capabilities of the team and represents the company at the core team in line with the company’s values and principles.
Job Purpose
The purpose of this role is to own the line or pair of lines in the respective shift, deliver its overall SQCDSM targets, and be fully responsible for people, machinery and identification and elimination of losses and problems in the area.
Leads team and shifts and ensures that all resources (Raw and Pack Materials, consumables, manpower) are available during the shift and takes decisions and ownership on overall SQCDSM deliverables during the shift according to defined protocols.
Education / Certifications
- Applicants must have a Grade 12.
- National Diploma/Degree in Chemical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering/Manufacturing/Supply Chain Management/Operations/Production Management/Trade Test and/or equivalent
Job Specific Requirements
- Minimum 5 Years experience in the manufacturing environment
- Relevant experience working on continuous improvement initiatives i.e. LEAN, TPM, IL6S
- 3 years’ experience in a production management role

Key Performance Areas
You will:
- Delivers overall SQCDSM targets for the lines, units under responsibility; owns shift results of the line/s and is responsible for budgeting and delivering on the budgets for the line/Shift.·
- Translates Section Targets into shift targets and deploys them to his/her team following Hoshin/goal setting.
- Ensures that each Mondelez Employee in his/her team has individual specific and measurable targets related to the line overall targets, and a clear understanding of what is expected from them and documents it as a work plan for records.
- Manages cost as the budgets, eliminates all losses, plans production and resources, and is involved in recruitment for new team members.
