The Alfa Laval Internship is in collaboration with the YES (Youth Employment Service) initiative, thus Individuals who have not participated in the YES programme are encouraged to apply.
Job Purpose
Assist in providing direct technical support to customers and sales and service team on specific Alfa Laval product/s or applications.
The role can include supporting business unit team, product champion and launch manager on specific projects.
Job description
- Acknowledging Customer RFQs.
- Screening of customers/prospects Customer support by promptly responding enquiries.
- Follow up on quotes, and or any outstanding information from the customer.
- Ensuring that sales engineers support customer by promptly responding to the various status of quotes & orders.
- Receiving customer orders & verification against the offer / Quote.
- Handing over of Orders to the order handlers. Communicate with colleagues, business unit experts / Product centers for technical support.
- Support sales with product presentations to offer a customized value proposition to the customer.
- Assist in conducting research, data analysis, and technical evaluations.
- Participate in site visits, inspections, and client meetings as required.
- Contribute to the development of engineering solutions and innovative strategies.
- Learn and apply industry-standard software tools and methodologies.
Skills and Competencies
- Technical aptitude and willingness to learn.
- Good skills to work with IT tools, e.g., Office 365
- Good team player
- Strong communication & networking skills
- Fluent in speaking English.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical /Industrial/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
