Graduate Opportunities in South Africa

Audit

As a student working towards a Chartered Accountant qualification from SAICA, or CA(SA), you will have to complete a three-year training contract once you have completed your undergraduate degree and CTA.

KPMG offers a SAICA training contract with an Assurance elective. This offers you the opportunity to achieve your Chartered Accountant qualification with a broad understanding of both business and finance.

KPMG also has mentoring programmes in place to help you through your training contract.

Qualifications required:

• BCom with CTA or equivalent degree.

ESG

ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) has become crucial to the success of businesses across all sectors.

KPMG’s Sustainability team supports our clients in driving the ESG agenda, focusing on topics such as ESG Assurance, Impact Reporting, and Decarbonization, among others.

Due to the heightened awareness of ESG and its increasing importance for all organizations, there has been a surge in ESG considerations and inclusions in proposals and potential client engagements throughout the business.

We are seeking dynamic and diverse graduates to join our ESG team.

Qualifications:

Minimum requirements to apply for the role (including qualifications and experience):

• Relevant honors degree, such as Environmental Science, Economics, Environmental Management, Chemical Engineering, Social Science, Climate Change and Finance, etc.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Deal Advisory

KPMG’s Corporate Finance/Transactions and Restructuring department is a global leader in financial advisory services for both public and private transactions.

We provide our clients with specialized advice related to mergers and acquisitions, valuations, financing, executive incentive schemes, and stock exchange services.

Our graduate programme will equip you with the expertise needed in the field of transactions and restructuring.

Throughout the two-year training programme, you will gain experience in a wide range of assignments and environments. KPMG offers opportunities for you to study, learn, and rapidly grow during this two-year period.

Qualifications Required:

• Financial Management (Honours)
• Investment Management (Honours)
• Bachelor of Business Science (Finance)

Internal Audit and Risk

KPMG’s Internal Audit trainee position offers an exciting and stimulating experience, equipping graduates with a unique blend of skills in Internal Audit, Risk Management, and business acumen.

During the initial three-year training contract, colleagues receive a mix of formal training and practical on-the-job experience to enhance their skill set.

This program is designed to assist graduates in achieving their goal of becoming certified Internal Auditors.
