Data Reviewer
Data Reviewer (R2/2024)
Salary: R370 per day (maximum of 23 days per month) – 6 months contract
Centre: Cape Town
Requirements:
- National Diploma (NQF6) /bachelor’s degree in public administration or equivalent qualification coupled with one (1) year experience required in data management or a relevant field.
- Knowledge: sound organisation and planning skills and be computer literate and good in compiling performance reports.
- Skills: Good communication (verbal and written), management of transformation programmes.
Diesel Mechanic
Diesel Mechanic: Antarctica| Approximately Fifteen Months Contract (OC14/2024)
Salary: R 444 036 p.a (plus 37% lieu in benefits)
Centre(s): Antarctica
Requirements:
- A National NTC 3 certificate or relevant comparable qualification, with a minimum of three years post trade experience.
- Competent in diesel engine maintenance, diagnostics, repairs and overhaul, with knowledge of engine management systems, experience in operating electronic diagnostic tools as well as the ability to interpret results.
Electro-Mechanical Technician
Electro-Mechanical Technician: Antarctica| Approximately Fifteen Months Contract(OC13/2024)
Salary: R 552 081 p.a (plus 37% in lieu of service benefits)
Centre(s): Antarctica
Requirements:
- Must be in possession of a Trade Certification (Millwright) or a National Diploma or Degree in Electro/Mechanical Engineering or relevant comparable qualification, with a minimum of three years’ relevant post years post trade / qualification experience.
- A Wireman’s licence will be advantageous.
Senior Meterological Technician
Senior Meterological Technician: Antarctica| Approximately Fifteen Months Contract (OC15/2024)
Salary: R 308 154 (plus 37% lieu in benefits).
Permanent SAWS employees will have a different payment structure of benefits.

Requirements:
- BSc Degree/ BTech in Natural Science or equivalent qualification within related field, coupled with a minimum of one year experience in surface meteorological observations or Grade 12 with National Weather Certificate coupled with 5 years’ experience in weather observation.
- Previous Island Experience will be an added advantage.
Mechanical Engineer
Mechanical Engineer: Antarctica| Approximately Fifteen Months Contract (OC11/2024)
Salary: R 849 702 p.a (All-inclusive package)
Centre(s): Antarctica
Requirements:
- A National Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant comparable qualification, with 3-5 years post years post qualification experience.
- Competent in mechanical plant maintenance, diagnostics and repairs with proven fault-finding capabilities.
- Preferably have hands-on experience in facility management.
Medical Doctor
Medical Doctor: Antarctica| Approximately Fifteen Months Contract (OC09/2024)
Salary: R1 216 824 p.a (All-inclusive package)
Centre(s): Antarctica
Requirements:
- In possession of an appropriate medical qualification (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery or relevant qualification) recognised to practice as a General Practitioner in South Africa.
- At least 5 years of experience and registered with the medical board HPCSA or similar authoritative body.
- Must have practical experience in, and/or be able to respond to, the following fields.
- General Medicine, Dermatology, Ophthalmology, ENT, Psychiatry and Mental Health Counselling
