Bolter Rig Assistant

Role Description:
Assist the Operator: Bolter Rig in the preparation of the drill site and operation of the rig. The position reports to the Miner.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Grade 10 or equivalent NQF Level 3 qualification
- Valid Bolter Rig certificate of competence will be advantageous
- Relevant or proven record as a Bolter Rig assistant will be advantageous
- Minimum of 3 years` underground mining experience at metalliferous mines, which must be in a
- hybrid, bord & pillar or mechanised mining development of large excavations
- Competent B is essential

- Valid LHD certificate of competence is essential

Miner

Role Description:
Control the ore extraction process to ensure optimal utilisation of people and equipment to obtain production and safety targets. The role reports to the Shift Supervisor and will carry a 4.1.1 MHSA legal appointment
Education and Experience Requirements
- Grade 12 or equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification
- Blasting Certificate for underground hard rock or National Certificate Rock-breaking Underground Hard Rock Level 3.
- Minimum of 5 years` underground mining experience at metalliferous mines, which must be in a mechanised mining development and stoping (Bord and Pillar) environment and 3 years’ underground supervisory experience as an appointed Miner.
- Shiftboss Certificate will be advantageous
- Mine Overseer Certificate will be advantageous

- Competent A and B is essential.
- Blasting Certificate for underground hard rock or National Certificate Rock breaking Underground Hard Rock Level 3 will be advantageous.
