Stellenbosch University’s Node for Infection Imaging is pleased to announce a bursary designed to support talented individuals in pursuing further study in the field of radiopharmacy.

Whether you’re a recent pharmacy graduate with an interest in radiopharmacy or an experienced pharmacist looking to specialize, this bursary could be your gateway to a fulfilling career.

Bursary Information

The successful candidate will be based at the Node for Infection Imaging and will pursue a full-time MSc or PhD degree in Nuclear Medicine through Stellenbosch University, with a focus on radiopharmacy.

Funding for up to 3 years is available. The successful candidate will be required to complete a 1-year (paid) contract at the NII as a radiopharmacist post-graduation.

Who Should Apply

  • Pharmacists (newly qualified or experienced) who wish to pursue a MSc in a Nuclear Medicine (Radiopharmacy).
  • Pharmacists already in possession of a master’s degree who wish to pursue a PhD in Nuclear Medicine (Radiopharmacy).

Requirements

  • B.Pharm degree.
  • Full registration as a pharmacist with the South African Pharmacy Council.

Candidates interested in pursuing a PhD must be in possession of a master’s degree in a relevant pharmacy field (e.g., MSc Nuclear Medicine, MSc Radiopharmacy, MPharm) with at least 2 years of postgraduate radiopharmacy experience.

This requirement does not apply to candidates interested in pursuing an MSc.

To apply for the NII radiopharmacist bursary, submit your CV, a statement of purpose outlining your interest in radiopharmacy, academic transcripts, and proof of qualifications.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for interviews.
