Requirements
- Matric/ an NQF level 4 qualification plus 1-year experience in Community Development Work.
Knowledge and Competencies
Knowledge and understanding of community dynamics, community activation (mobilisation), ward boundaries, social awareness, community education, public participation and community development;
Knowledge of government regulations and policies including but not limited to: Batho Pele Principles; Community Based Planning, active citizenry, citizen relationship management and understanding of ward based stakeholders;
Knowledge of the dynamics, culture and language of the target community and candidates must reside in the ward where the vacancy is listed.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct needs and assets analysis through community consultations and engagements;
- Monitor and report significant trends within communities related to health, social development, and livelihood security as well as the impact of associated development projects;
- Compile accurate environmental scans;
- Identify and present to the Assistant Director proper records/data of households, cases referred, and service points visited in line with the work plans and performance contracts agreed upon;
- Develop and maintain a database (electronic or hard copy) on all interventions e.g. referrals, remedial actions taken or changes in systems to improve service delivery;
- Report on outcomes and issues escalated;
- Present daily and weekly performance reports to the Assistant Director within agreed timelines
