Job Title : Lab Analyst In-service Trainee
Qualification
- Grade 12 (Metric).
- Completed all SA Analytical Chemistry subjects, required to do a Practical – PI and P2.
- Computer literate.
- Understand art the hazards associated with the fob.
- Must be able to meet the physical demands of the fob.
Key Performance Areas
- Analyse ail raw matenals and finished products on receipt, as per relevant test methods
- Perform analysis on samples using all laboratory instruments such as moisture analyser. muffle furnace, laboratory oven, HPLC etc.
- Assist with updating of laboratory test methods and work instructions.
- Ensure all chemicals in the laboratory are not expired and the chemical register is kept up to date.
- Perform calibrations and/or verifications of equipment as pet schedule.
- Ensure compliance to all Safety. Health, Envecmment and Quality requirements.
- To assist the Lab Supervisor with the following quality tasks:
- Daily quality indscalcx monitoring and reporting to the Laboratory Supervisor.
- Testing research and development samples.
Mandatory Tasks
- Follow all rules – SOPs and regulations of the company including the OSH Act
- Ensure correct PPE is always worn
- Always practise good housekeeping principles.
- Repel any incidents/accidents and non-performances to Lab Supervisor immediately
Skills and Attributes
- Candidate should be a team player,
- Have good communication skills (verbal and whiten)
- Exercise a high degree of self-discipline, confidentiality, and demonstrative initiative.
