BRANCH: Air Quality and Climate Change
DESIGNATION: Internship: Climate Change Mitigation
Location: Traduna House, 118 Jorissen Street, Braamfontein
Stipend: (Qualification completed with min 360 credits): R9 531,54 pm (Basic Salary, no benefits)
(Enrolled as a student) : R3 500,00 pm (Basic salary, no benefits).
Job Purpose
Facilitate and coordinate climate change initiatives within the city, including the development of policies, strategies and plans to ensure the climate change is implemented within the city.
Qualifications
- Grade 12/NQF level 4 plus Degree in Environmental Management, Environmental Sciences, or Energy studies or related Field;
- Only City of Joburg residents will be considered
Key Performance Areas
- Administration and record keeping;
- Provide support to the development of the city’s Climate Action Tracking tools.
- Compile a report summarizing the findings and recommendations from site visits and share it with relevant parties.

- Computer literacy including MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Good Communication skills.
- Project management skills.
- Coordinating skills.
- Report writing.
