For youth with a Matric pass, JumpStart offers five training programmes
designed to open doors to entry-level positions.

About the JumpStart Retail Frontline Programme
The JumpStart Retail Frontline Programme (RFP) is designed to unlock opportunities for matriculated youth to entry level positions in retail.
This two-week skills development course is composed of an online life skills course, in-person training and interviews, and one week of hands-on work experience in a retail environment.
This work readiness programme gives youth the opportunity to become more employable.
Basic Requirements
- South African
- Matriculated
- Aged 18-33 years
- Unemployed
- No criminal record

Programme Outline
All JumpStart retail programmes begin with a five-day life skills course – because soft skills are just as important as hard skills.
This course is composed of the following modules:
- Personal development
- Self-esteem
- Emotional development
- Healing of the past
- Vision and goal setting
- Communication
- Conflict resolution
- Work ethic and time management
- Basic HR principles
- Personal health
- Job preparation
Do you get a job after training?
Job placements are not guaranteed on completion of training.
However, JumpStart works closely with employer partners to create a pipeline of suitable, work-ready talent.
