The National Business Initiative (NBI) and the Umfolozi TVET College are recruiting for the Skills Training Programme 2024/ 2025 for unemployed youth.

The National Business Initiative (NBI) and the Umfolozi TVET College are looking for unemployed youth from KwaDukuza to be trained as artisan assistants or general residence repairers who will perform many of the same tasks that veteran artisans do.
This would be handyperson work, plumbing assistance, assistant electrician work, handling tools and assisting in cleaning job sites.
About the Training Programme
This will be a 12-month job opportunity; 3 months will be integrated learning at a college – classroom theoretical and practical, including online learning through the Installation Repairs & Maintenance (IRM) Training Application.
The remaining 9 months will be the on-the-job training. This would entail being placed in a workplace within your residential area or college.
The work will be conducted both outdoors and indoors, and applicants should be comfortable working at heights and learning new skills.
Qualifications
- Grade 12 or NCV Level 4 or N3 in Engineering
- No criminal records
- Aged 17 – 35 years
- Not currently employed
- Driver’s License is an advantage
