Qualifications

• Grade 10 and National Certificates Level 2 Certificate GET Education, Training and Development
• NQF 1 General Education Certificate (GEC) (Grade 9 or equivalent) or equivalent ABET 4 qualification.

Experience in relevant working area will be advantageous.

Key Performance Areas

Support an underground working place by means of:

• Temporary support units o elongated support units that are hydraulically stressed o packs o stope netting
• Prepare the face prior to marking
• Clean the area for footwall examination prior to marking
• Wash and clean face for inspections

• Assist with marking activities (lines and grades)
• Assist with transporting explosives from explosive containers to the workplace
• De-water and de-sludge blast holes
• Assist with charging of blast hole
• Assist with construction and installation activities

General Requirements

• Medically fit to work in the specific business area.
• Clear security screening record.
• Clear credit record.
• Valid driver’s license (if applicable)
