What the Bursary covers
The Bursary covers the following:
- Tuition fees.
- Meals and accommodation.
- Prescribed textbooks.
- Payment of any compulsory excursions or seminars, which may be required.
- A Personal allowance.
Fields of Study Funded
Candidates are invited to apply for Bursary opportunities that are offered by the Company in the following disciplines:
- Electrical Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Mining Engineering
- Financial Services
- Metallurgy
Eligibility/ Requirements
To be considered for the opportunities, you will need to meet the following minimum requirements:
- Grade 12.
- Minimum of a 6 symbol for Mathematics and Physical Science and as per Institution’s requirements for Engineering fields.
- Minimum of a 5 symbol for Mathematics and Physical Science for technical fields.
- Average year mark of 60% and above for 2nd or 3rd year students.
Applicants already supported by another organisation/company will not be considered.
Preference will be given to applicants residing in the local communities where Glencore Coal Operations South Africa are located – proof of residence to be submitted with application.
