EXPERIENCE

Artisan: Mechanical

Main purpose of the position:

To ensure that all equipment related to air-conditioning in the building and the maintenance thereof is kept up to the required standard, and according to health and safety regulations, in order to prevent cutting of services in broadcasting.

  • National technical qualification certificate (N3) NQF level 4 or equivalent
  • Be a qualified artisan as a Mechanical Fitter (Trade Test)

Audio Visual Imaging Producer( Ukhozi FM)

Main purpose of position

To conceptualize, produce and deliver high quality Seasonal, Generic, Programme Specific and Campaign Specific multi-platform Imaging Material & Promos in line with the station’s sound and feel, programme briefs, campaign briefs and programming & marketing strategies.

Requirements:

  • National Diploma or Degree in Sound Engineering or related discipline. (NQF level 6)
  • 4 years’ experience in broadcasting environment of which 2 years should be on radio technical production. 
  • Proficiency in recording and editing software (i.e. pro tools, audacity, adobe etc).
  • Above average experience and knowledge of broadcasting production technology and digital media application

Assignment Editor: Channel Africa

Main purpose of position

To provide a newsgathering service that identifies and breaks news stories, by directing the assigning, briefing and debriefing of reporters. 

Requirements:

  • Degree or National diploma in Journalism or related qualification (NQF level 6)
  •  3-5 years’ experience in news broadcasting environment.
  • Knowledge and understanding of broadcasting standards, Policies and SOP’s.
  • Advanced understanding of SABC radio broadcasting operations.

Abap Developer

2-year Fixed Term Contract

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

Develop and implement SAP enhancements and new functionalities in line with business requirements and best practice.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Programming diploma / degree or relevant qualification (NQF level 6/7
  • Minimum of 10 years’ SAP ABAP development experience of which a minimum of 3 years should have been in a support or consulting environment

To plan, co-ordinate and produce live and magazine sport content / events of high quality in accordance with SABC editorial guidelines and standards.

  • Degree or Diploma in Journalism or sport management or equivalent qualification (NQF 6 /NQF 7)
  • 2- 3 years working experience in broadcasting environment.
  • Knowledge of other editing software.
  • Understanding of different sporting code/specs.
  • Understanding of broadcasting formats
