Location: Phalaborwa 

Foskor’s Mining Division in Phalaborwa mines phosphate rock from which Foskor’s Acid Division in Richards Bay produces phosphoric acid and phosphate-based granular fertilisers for local and international markets. 

Job Purpose

The purpose of the work experience programme is to give opportunity to university students to acquire skills and gain meaningful experience in the fields of Metallurgy, Mining Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering (Heavy Current) and Analytical Chemistry which will lead to a Diploma in the specific field.

Electrical Engineering (Heavy Current) X2

Analytical Chemistry X1

Qualifications

  • S4 in Metallurgy
  • S4 in Mining Engineering
  • S4 in Mechanical Engineering
  • S4 in Electrical Engineering
  • S4 in Analytical Chemistry

Job Requirements

  • Pre- employment medical examination
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft office
  • Driver’s licence will be an added advantage
  • Successful candidate will sign an agreement with the Mining Qualifications Authority.

  • As per the university’s P1/P2 requirements.
