The University of the Free State invites applications for various Teaching Assistant positions in 2025.

Location: Vacancies are available at the Bloemfontein Campus and at the Qwaqwa Campus
The UFSS Office is seeking talented final-year undergraduate or postgraduate students to fill UFSS1504/1522 Teaching Assistant positions for 2025.
The ideal candidates must possess strong facilitation and marking skills.
Requirements
To apply, you need to meet the following inherent requirements:
- be a final year student of your undergraduate degree OR a postgraduate student in 2025;
- be enrolled as a UFS student and be able to provide proof of registration in 2025;
- have at least 1 year of tutoring, facilitating, or teaching experience as part of a certified programme. Tutoring students in your personal capacity in your free time is unfortunately not seen as certified tutorial experience;
- be proficient in English; and computer literate.
- excellent communication skills; Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), navigating the internet and Blackboard for facilitating classes;
- time management skills;
- excellent writing skills in English;
- ability to work independently, as well as in a team;
- ability to work respectfully with individuals of all cultures and backgrounds, perspectives and abilities; and
- experience in conducting online and face-to-face classes.
