Available internships
This position will be based in Cape Town in the Abbott Molcular Division. In this division we’re empowering smarter medical and economic decision making to help transform the way people manage their health at all stages of life.
Field Service Engineer Internship
What You’ll Do
- Perform system installation, repairs and servicing at customer sites.
- Implements major product upgrades relative to the assigned system/product group.
- Collaborates with Sales department to assist with basic troubleshooting training of Customers.
- Provide service support and technical troubleshooting for defined service interventions.
- Provide proactive service.
Required Qualifications
- University degree (National Diploma), ideally in one of the following fields: Electrical Engineering, Clinical Engineering, Mechatronics, Medical Technology, biomedical or related.
- No Work experience (however previous in-service training will be accepted)
- Must be based in Cape Town and can travel to surrounding areas.
- Available to start immediately.
Finance Administrator Internship
This INTERNSHIP is based in our ROODERPOORT Offices in the EPD Pharmaceutical Division.
What You’ll Do:
- Reconcile the debit notes received from the distributor to the supporting documentation provided.
- Catch up on all outstanding Distributor payments.
- Submit to APO for payment and follow up to ensure that the payment is made.
- Assist with collecting and follow up of outstanding of debtors for Emerging English Markets.
- Assist with debt collection for SA distributors and customers.
- Monthly submission of SA vendor payments to CFS.
- Support EPD Financial Analyst with preparation of month end accruals.
- Support the EPD Financial Controller with day to day administrative tasks.
- Understanding basic accounting concepts.
- Any other ad-doc requests from the EPD Financial Controller & Finance Team
Required Qualifications
- A Degree OR DIPLOMA FINANCE
- YOU MUST NOT HAVE PRIOR WORKING EXPERIENCE to be eligible to apply
