Job Purpose

The intention is to give practical work experience to  students who are in their last year of study (BA Social Work) and require In-Service Training in order to obtain their qualification and those recently graduated but unemployed and require exposure in a work environment.

About the Internship Programme

Anova offers exciting opportunities to suitable candidates for potential placement in our Internship program.

The internship program offer talented candidates the opportunity to learn and assist in implementing activities aimed at strengthening psychosocial support, adherence & retention for PLHIV including scale up of HIV testing, care and support for children & adolescents in DoH health facilities.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Social Work
  • Preferably Registered with the relevant South African Council for Social Services Professions or Professional Body

Program Requirements

  • Reside in Limpopo and the nearby areas
  • Must be between the ages of 18 and 28 years to apply for the program
  • Only South African Citizens in possession of a valid South African ID will be considered

  • Ability to keep neat, accurate, complete and confidential records
  • Knowledge of HIV/AIDS prevention and community health issues
  • Knowledge of various mental therapeutic interventions and related legislations
  • Knowledge of Department of Health policies

Skills and Attributes 

  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
  • Be able to work under pressure & team player
  • Resilient and mental strong individual
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and has attention to details.
  • Proficiency in Ms Office
