Administrative Officer
CLOSING DATE: 15.10.2024
PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To monitor, execute and control General and Payroll Accounting related activities and administration as per company policies and procedures for all South African companies in the Implats Group.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Grade 12/NQF level 4/STD10 is essential.
- National Diploma in Financial Accounting is desirable
- At least 1-3 years working experience in a financial or payroll environment. Preferably as a Senior Clerk or Administrative Officer
- Basic payroll system knowledge
- SAP knowledge
- Understand of VAT Legislation
- Understanding and acceptance of Impala’s code of conduct, policies and procedures is essential.
Safety Officer
CLOSING DATE: 15 October 2024
PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To ensure compliance to legislation, mine policies, code of practices, standard rules, and procedures in respect of safety issues in a designated area of responsibility.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Grade 12/NQF Level 4/STD 10 is essential.
- Blasting certificate is essential.
- COMSOC 1 and 2 (Mining) is essential.
- Computer Skills (Ms Office: – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) is essential.
- Relevant accident/incident/root cause analysis methodology is essential.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Safety Officer OR as a Shift Supervisor (Mining Trackless Bord and Pillar) is essential.
- Diploma in Mining Engineering OR NADSAM is advantageous.
- Must have a valid medical certificate or be medically fit in order to obtain such a certificate.
Administrative Supervisor
CLOSING DATE: 15.10.2024
PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To monitor and control Shaft Payroll related activities and administration
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Grade 12 with mathematics is essential
- SAP Experience in Payroll is Essential
- Financial qualification will be considered advantageous
- Working experience within the payroll function is essential
- Computer literacy in MS Office packages is essential
Ventilation Officer
CLOSING DATE: 15.10.2024
DEPARTMENT: Ventilation
PURPOSE OF THE JOB To monitor, evaluate and report on Ventilation, Occupational Hygiene and Environmental conditions and make suitable recommendations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Grade 12 certificate with maths and science is essential.
- Chamber of Mines Intermediate Certificate in Mine Environmental Control is essential.
- At least 3 years working experience as a Ventilation Officer is essential.
- Valid drivers licence (code 08) and own transport would be considered an advantage.
- The successful candidate must have a valid medical certificate or be medically fit to obtain one.
- Computer Literacy (Microsoft Office & SAP) is essential.
Shaft Foreman
CLOSING DATE: 15.10.2024
PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To supervise safe hoisting activities and shaft maintenance.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Grade 12 certificate (NQF Level 4) is essential
- Valid permanent Blasting Certificate is essential
- Valid Onsetter Certificate is essential
- At least 5 years relevant shaft operational experience as a timberman is essential.
- Computer literacy (MS Office package) is essential.
- Experience in the operation of vertical and decline ore and material transport is an advantage.
- Valid medical certificate or medically fit to obtain such a certificate.
Engineering Manager
CLOSING DATE: 18.10.2024
PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
To overall co-ordinate all engineering activities to ensure compliance and enhancement and to improve the overall effectiveness of the operations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- NQF level 8 qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is essential.
- A government Certificate of Competency (GCC) is essential.
- Registered Professional Engineer with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) is essential.
- Minimum of 7 years relevant experience in engineering.
Operations Manager
PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
To manage the plant and the production team according to safety standards in an effort to attain production targets.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Grade 12 / Std 10 / University Entrance (NQF 4) is essential.
- B Eng. or BTech (Chemical Engineering / Metallurgy) is essential.
- 5+ years Metallurgical, Platinum experience / Plant experience is essential.
- 3-5 years in an appointed permanent Managerial position in a Processing Plant environment is desirable.
- Valid Medical certificate or medically fit to obtain such a certificate.
Trackless Mine Overseer
Closing date: 15 October 2024
PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To oversee production at an operational and strategic management level.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Grade 12 / Standard 10 (preferably with Maths & Science) is essential
- Mine Overseer Certificate is essential
- Blasting Certificate for Scheduled Mines is essential
- Minimum of 3 5 years experience as Mine Overseer in Trackless mining environment (preferably Bord and Pillar) is essential
- Computer literacy (MS Office package) is essential
- Valid medical certificate or medically fit to obtain such a certificate
