Assistant Environmental Officer
Salary: R 255 450 per annum (plus 37% lieu in benefits)
Centre(s): Marion Island
Requirements:
- National Diploma in Environmental Sciences/Management/Conservation or Natural Sciences or relevant qualification.
- 0-1 years’ experience required.
- The incumbent must have knowledge of Public Service and Departmental procedures and prescripts.
- Knowledge of Environmental Legislation.
Diesel Mechanic
Salary: R 444 036 per annum (plus 37% in lieu of service benefits)
Centre(s): Marion Island
Requirements:
- A National Diploma/ NTC 3 certificate or relevant comparable qualification, with a minimum of three years post trade experience.
- Competency in diesel engine and generator maintenance, diagnostics, repairs and fault-finding, with knowledge of engine management systems, experience in operating electronic diagnostic tools as well as the ability to interpret results.
Communications Engineer/Technician
Salary: R 849 702 per annum (All-inclusive package)

Requirements:
- A National Diploma or Degree in Electronic Engineer, Computer Science Engineering, IT or relevant comparable qualification, with a minimum of three years post trade / qualification experience
Enviromental Officer
Salary: R308 154 per annum (plus 37% lieu in benefits)

Requirements:
- National Diploma/ Degree in Environmental Sciences/ Management/ Conservation/Natural Sciences or relevant qualification.
- 1-2 years’ experience required.
- Knowledge of Public Service and Departmental procedures and prescripts.
- Knowledge of Environmental Legislation.
Assistant Meteorological Technician (X2 Posts)
Medical Orderly
Salary: R 444 036 per annum (plus 37% in lieu of service benefits)
Centre(s): Marion Island
Requirements:
- Certificate in Operational Emergency Care Practitioner (minimum level 7) or equivalent with extensive experience in Trauma casualties. 3-5 years of relevant experience required.
- Applicants must be registered with the SA Professions Council.
- Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act, Patient Rights Charter, Public Service Regulation Act and Labour Relation Act.
