Time and Attendance Operator
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The Operator: Time and Attendance is responsible for efficient and accurate administration of time and attendance input and output – to the prescribed standards.
WORK OF ROLE
– Badge making and card sequence update
– Apply system and access control during safety drives, that de-zone and zoning employees, and draw the reports destined for DMR stamp and sign all
received input documents and all processed documents
– Apply system and access control during the section 54 by de-zoning and zoning employees
– Visitors take-on
– Pre – authorizations
– Badge making and card sequence update
– Employee zones update – access control by allocating zones and sequence
– Level control – regulating the clocking times for safety reasons
– Parades input
– Receive calls logged to central, assist with logged calls and log calls to personnel on standby
QUALIFICATIONS
Grade 12
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 1-year time and attendance system operation experience
Miner Learnership
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Provide learners with the required exposure to institutional learning and workplace experience that will enable them to obtain a qualification, thus meeting the needs and requirements of the Siyanda Bakgatla Platinum Mine operations. In addition, it provides the relevant information needed to journey this qualification to help ensure that on-and off the-job training is successful for all involved.
WORK OF ROLE
• Adhere to basic occupational health and safety practices pertaining to mining operations
• Compliance with mining regulations and acts as stipulated in the Mine Health and Safety Legislation
• Execute all duties of a learner miner as required by Mine Health and Safety Act
• Liase with HRD department regarding training process and progress on occupational development
• Provide progress update to all responsible parties on a regular basis
• Learning inputs to be given and where required obtain the pass marks as required by the subject
• Ensure all practical shifts and requirements are obtained to qualify to be accepted as a Learner Miner
• Ensure discipline are always maintained and no criminal records to be recorded as the goal is amongst other duties to be able to be in charge to manage control of explosive
• Ensure that where required to be place in sections to acquire the required exposure to become a competent blasting ticket holder
QUALIFICATIONS
Grade 12 / AET Level 4
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Mining (Stoping/Development or Shaft)
Shaft Timberman Learnership
1.Purpose of the Role
The Shaft Timberman is responsible to provide engineering maintenance, repairs and construction services to the shaft and station area.
2. Work of Role
• Legal compliance
• Performance efficiencies
• Safety trends
• Safety standards
• Quantity of delays or disruptions to operations due to maintenance
• Timely and accurate information
• Effective use of systems
• Housekeeping standards
• Keep up to date with development plan requirements.
• Complete practical assignments.
• Liase with HRD department regarding training progress.
• Provide progress update to all responsible parties on a regular basis.
Effective shaft maintenance through the ability to:
• Performing shaft maintenance
• Adhering to safety standards in the transport environment
• Liaising with other teams in area
• Allocating resources and equipment according to priorities
• Communicating resource requirements
• Communicating operational problems to appropriate supervisor or manager
• Blasting hanging boxes
• Blasting in decline area
• Supervising multi-task team members
• Inspecting shaft and installations for defects
• Ensuring the effectiveness of pipe and equipment installations
• Communicating process defects to appropriate processors
• Assisting with equipment maintenance
• Maintaining effective two-way open communication
3. Qualifications
• Grade 12 / AET Level 4
• Onsetter Certificate advantageous
