Job Highlights

The Limpopo Department of Cooperative Governance, Human Settlements and Traditional Affairs is recruiting Skilled Workers for the Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP).

Closing date: 11 November 2024

  • 1 Contract position(s) exists for 36 months in the CoGHSTA
  • Salary Level: Stipend
  • Salary: R 78 000.00 per annum
  • Reference No: CoGHSTA 55/24

Key Performance Areas

*Assigned to work with the site manager to oversee the progress on site: 

*To assure quality control by ensuring that milestones are constructed according to the approved specification attached in the contract.

*Attend all construction site meeting both at the local /district municipality level and at the Head Office whenever required to do so.

*To ensure that claims compiled and submitted by the contractor to the department for payment are submitted on time, in order and represent the work done on site. 

*Ensure that the contractor comply with EPWP reporting guidelines.

Prerequisites

*An appropriate recognised National Diploma in Building Science /Quantity Survey/Architecture/Civil Engineering/Project Management/

N6 Certificate in Building Science, Construction Management or Civil.   

Short-listed candidates for the above posts will be subjected to a Personnel Suitability Checks.

The Department reserves the right to make an appointment in respect of the advertised posts. The candidates who are successful’ their profiles will be retained for a three-years duration upon which it will be reviewed.

Person Profile

Sound and in-depth knowledge of relevant prescripts, application of the legislative framework governing the public service e.g., Public Service Act, Labour Relation Act, PFMA, etc. 

Skills in: Report writing,Time management, Communication, both formal, and informal, Computer Literacy
