Situated in the Northern Coast of South Africa, the Richards Bay Industrial Development Zone Company (SOC) Ltd (RBIDZ) is a designated Special Economic Zones (SEZ) aimed at international competitiveness, encouraging trade for the attraction of international and domestic investments.
Poised as a hub of trade activities, the Richards Bay IDZ is geared to effect real change in South Africa through the creation of employment opportunities, upgrading skills, technology transfer and broadening of the region’s basket of export products.
The successful candidate will be provided with relevant workplace skills and experience in order to prepare for the job market.

To transfer skills and knowledge to graduates through the internship programme.

Management Accounting Internship
The RBDIZ is looking for Management Accounting Intern to join their Team under the Finance Business Unit.
Requirements
- A National Diploma in Accounting/ Financial Management or equivalent.
- Unemployed, no relevant workplace experience needed.
- Must be between the ages of 20 and 35.
- Must not have done any internship before.
Electrical Engineering Internship
The RBIDz is looking for an Electrical Engineering intern to join their team.
Requirements
- Grade 12
- National Diploma/ Degree/B Tech in Electrical Engineering
- Unemployed, no relevant workplace experience needed.
- Must be between ages of 20 and 35.
- Must not have done any internship before.
Company Secretary Internship
Requirements
- Grade 12
- Bachelor of Law/BCom Law
- Unemployed, no relevant workplace experience needed.
- Must be between the ages of 20 and 35.
- Must not have done any internship before. Duration 24 months.
Environmental Internship
Requirements
- Grade 12
- Diploma/degree in Environmental Science/ Management/ Planning, Geography, Ecology or related field of study.
- Unemployed, no relevant workplace experience needed.
- Must be between ages of 20 and 35.
- Must not have done any internship before. Duration: 24 months
Health and Safety Internship
Requirements
- Grade 12
- Degree/Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Management / Science or or related field of study.
- Unemployed, no relevant workplace experience needed.
- Must be between ages of 20 and 35.
- Must not have done any internship before. Duration: 24 Months
Monitoring and Evaluation Internship
Requirements
- Grade 12
- Degree in Public Administration/Management
- Monitoring and Evaluation Certificate (advantageous)
- Unemployed, no relevant workplace experience needed.
- Must be between ages of 20 and 35.
- Must not have done any internship before. Duration 24 months
Human Resource Internship
Requirements
- Grade 12
- Degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent
- Unemployed, no relevant workplace experience needed.
- Must be between ages of 20 and 35.
- Must not have done any internship before. Duration 24 months
Stakeholder and Communications Internship
Requirements
- National Diploma/Degree in Public Relations and Communications / Marketing and Communication or Degree in Marketing and Communications / B Com Marketing or equivalent.
- Driver’s Licence will be an added advantage.
- English and Zulu will be an added advantage
- Unemployed, no relevant workplace experience needed.
- Must be between the ages of 20 and 35. Must not have done any internship before.
