Logistic Miner
CLOSING DATE: 19 November 2024
PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
Responsible for the guidance, supervision and administration of the team, and where necessary, performance of the activities required to maintain the operational status of the shaft. As a holder of a blasting ticket, ensure the maintenance of the regulations and handling of explosives on site.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Grade 12/NQF Level 4/STD 10 is essential.
- Blasting certificate is essential.
- At least 3 years Miner experience in an underground mining Logistic environment
- At least 3 years Trackless (Bord and Pillar) working experience
TMM Shift Supervisor
CLOSING DATE: 19 November 2024
PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
To take charge of gangs, instructors, and trainees to mine a section of the workings of the mine in accordance with the Mine Health and Safety Act Regulation 8.1 for training purposes.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Grade 12 /Standard 10/NQF Level 4 is essential
- Valid Blasting certificate is essential
- Production Supervisor Training Course is essential
- 3 – 5 years experience as a Trackless Shift Supervisor is essential, preferably Bord and Pillar mining method
- Valid Medical Certificate, or medically fit in order to obtain such a certificate is essential.
- Basic computer literacy is essential.
Electrical Foreman HT (UG2)
CLOSING DATE: 12.11.2024
PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To supervise and assist the team in the safe execution of all electrical activities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Grade 12/ STD 10/ NQF Level 4 is essential
- A recognised Electrical Trade qualification (Section 13 or 26D) is essential
- OR Proof of recognised completed apprenticeship contract (completed by means of effluxion of time) AND NTC 2 (Recognised Trade Theory) qualification is essential
- Completed HT Modules / Training Program
- 5 years experience as an appointed HT Electrician is essential.
- Experience as relieving foreman is essential.
- Experience as foreman would be an advantage.
Surveyor
CLOSING DATE: 12.11.2024
PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To conduct Strategic, Main and Stope Surveys and Measurements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Grade 12 certificate (NQF Level 4) is essential
- Basic Sampling Certificate essential.
- Basic Survey Certificate essential.
- 6 months underground Survey experience is essential
- Computer literacy MS Office package + MRM is essential
- Valid medical certificate or be medically fit in order to obtain such a certificate
Safety Officer – Mining
CLOSING DATE: 12.11.2024
PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To ensure compliance to legislation, mine policies, code of practices, standard rules, and procedures in respect of safety issues in a designated area of responsibility.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Grade 12/NQF Level 4/STD 10 is essential.
- Blasting certificate is essential.
- COMSOC 1 and 2 (Mining) is essential.
- Computer Skills (Ms Office: – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) is essential.
- Relevant accident/incident/root cause analysis methodology is essential.
- Minimum of 3 yrs underground mining experience is essential.
- Diploma in Mining Engineering OR NADSAM is advantageous.
- Must have a valid medical certificate or be medically fit in order to obtain such a certificate.
Trackless Foreman
Closing Date: 12 November 2024
PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
Ensure safe, efficient and productive engineering maintenance through the supervision and inspection of subordinate’s daily activities, the overseeing of labor and machinery in the section as well as managing the area to obtain optimum machine and equipment performance and engineering availability while achieving production targets.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Grade 12 / Matric Certificate or NQF4 Equivalent
- Engineering Foreman Certificate with Law and Standards
- Trade Certificate / Certificate of Competence level 3 (Electrical/Mechanical)
- 2-3 Years Post Trade Experience
- 3 Years Supervisory Experience
- 5 Years Underground trackless fleet experience
Senior Ventilation Officer
CLOSING DATE: 12 November 2024
PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To achieve the objectives and targets of the Ventilation and Occupational Hygiene within the operation and ensure compliance to Mine Health and Safety act.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Grade 12/NQF Level 4/STD 10 is essential
- Chamber of Mines Intermediate Certificate in Mine Environmental Control is essential
- At least 3 years working experience as a Ventilation Officer is essential
- Relevant certificate of Competency in Occupational Hygiene or relevant field advantageous
- 1-3 Years experience in trackless mining environment advantageous
- Valid drivers licence (code 08) and own transport would be considered an advantage
- The successful candidate must have a valid medical certificate or be medically fit to obtain one
- Computer Literacy is essential
Ventilation Officer
CLOSING DATE: 12 November 2024
PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To monitor, evaluate and report on Ventilation, Occupational Hygiene and Environmental conditions and make suitable recommendations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Grade 12/NQF Level 4/STD 10 is essential
- Chamber of Mines Intermediate Certificate in Mine Environmental Control is essential
- 3 Years Practical Experience in Underground Ventilation and Occupational Hygiene is essential
- Valid drivers licence (code 08) and own transport would be considered an advantage
- The successful candidate must have a valid medical certificate or be medically fit to obtain one
- Computer Literacy is essential
Manitou Operator
CLOSING DATE: 12 November 2024
PURPOSE OF THE JOB: Responsible for the day to day operation of the Manitou, for all planning, maintenance, servicing and transportation requirement. Sets up, operates and tends to Manitou crane in a safe and effective manner whilst complying with relevant SOPs and safety procedures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Grade 12 certificate (NQF Level 4) is essential
- Manitou MT 1840 License is essential
- At least 1 years Manitou equipment operation in a mining environment including tilt panel and general construction environment is essential
- At least 1 year Underground experience is essential
- Valid medical certificate or medically fit to obtain such a certificate
Shaft Foreman
CLOSING DATE: 12 November 2024
PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To supervise safe hoisting activities and shaft maintenance.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Grade 12 certificate (NQF Level 4) is essential
- Valid permanent Blasting Certificate is essential
- Valid Onsetter Certificate is essential
- At least 5 years relevant shaft operational experience as a timberman is essential.
- Computer literacy (MS Office package) is essential.
- Experience in the operation of vertical and decline ore and material transport is an advantage.
- Valid medical certificate or medically fit to obtain such a certificate.
