Export and Compliance Specialist
Roche Diagnostics Cape Town is seeking for a meticulous and knowledgeable Export and Compliance Specialist to join our dynamic team.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing and implementing effective export compliance programs in line with U.S. and EU regulations.
You will ensure the seamless airfreight exportation of our diagnostic products while maintaining compliance with all relevant trade regulations including company policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- 2-5 Years Proven experience within a Trade Compliance / Export Compliance role
- Effective troubleshooting and resolving difficult problems in creative ways.
- Strong organisational and attention to detail skills.
- Able to take new perspectives on existing solutions, exploring and implementing new concepts and methodologies.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
Bioinformatics Scientist
This role is based in the Computational Science and Informatics chapter area at Roche Diagnostics Cape Town, which supports all stages of product R&D.
We collaborate with stakeholders to transform cutting edge ideas into life-changing products and we support the efficient and seamless on-market operational aspects thereof.
Who you are:
- You hold a degree (Masters or PhD preferred) in a computational or molecular biology-related discipline with experience deriving insights from large biological data sets.
- You are passionate about bridging the gap between computational biology and laboratory science to drive innovation in genomics.
- You understand NGS and sequencing library preparation and have experience analysing NGS data, e.g. WGS, WES, RNAseq, etc.
- You possess strong problem-solving skills and an ability to interpret complex data.

Key Account Manager
Roche Diagnostics is seeking a Key Account Manager with specialty in Core Labs, to join their sales team.
The main purpose of this role is the management of Key Accounts end to end. As a Key Account Manager you will also be ensuring effective stakeholder and customer engagement, ensure customer centric approach, by being clear on customer needs, promoting customer propositions at all levels.
Qualifications & Experience
- At least an undergraduate NQF 7 qualification in Medical Science, Science Degree in Biomedical Sciences or similar
- A Business Management qualification is an advantage.
- 5-7 years’ experience in a commercial role in the medical industry and 3 years account management experience
- Chemistry, Immunology and Hematology Core Lab Experience would be advantageous
