Product Risk Analyst

Joining a dynamic team, the successful incumbent will have the opportunity to gain insight into the risk department.

The risk department is an independent function aiming to control front-line trading and ensure that the risk-reward of the trading books is properly understood by Glencore senior management and that the physical exposure of the business – e.g., oil cargoes, electricity generation, gas deliveries – is correctly valued.

This position requires the individual to provide support and a clear, pro-active approach to communication to the London Risk Managers, Senior Risk Management, and traders.

Qualifications:

  • A relevant Bachelor’s degree.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with a Bachelor’s or Honour’s degree in Finance, Risk Management, Economics, Computer Sciences, Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical)

Occupational Health Nurse

The successful candidate will be responsible maintaining an efficient occupational health service and risk, and job/person specification-based medical surveillance program as prescribed by the Mine Health and Safety Act.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A Tertiary Qualification in General Nursing.
  • An Occupational Health Qualification.
  • Registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a professional nurse and the South African Society for Occupational Health Nurses (SASOHN).
  • Driver’s License Code EB (08).
  • A Certificate in Spirometry, Audiometry and Vision as well as a certificate in HIV counselling and testing will be an added advantage.

Minimum Experience

  • Minimum 5 years’ occupational health experience.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite.
  • Q-MED and mining industry experience will be an added advantage.

Engineering Supervisor

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that production targets are met in accordance with all relevant standards, policies and procedures in areas of responsibility, through optimal utilization of people and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervising and managing maintenance, breakdowns and repairs on machines and equipment.
  • Ensuring compliance with all health, safety and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring that production targets are met safely and cost effectively.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  • Either a N4 Certificate with Engineering Subjects, Valid Trade Certificate (Electrician) and a minimum of 5 Years’ experience as an Artisan; OR
  • A relevant Tertiary Qualification and completed Graduate Development Programme.
  • Driver’s license Code EB (08).
