Stipend: R9 531,54 (Basic salary, no benefits)

Job Purpose

Create and incorporate graphics into the City’s brand, digital products and social media strategies that the City’s messages in a unique, fast easy-to perceive and appealing manner.

This incorporates several tasks and responsibilities such as writing and editing scripts and using software to illustrate complex ideas visually by giving static or abstract designs ( Like logos, shapes, objects, text) ani9mation and movement with or without following a specific narrative.

Qualifications

Grade 12/Matric plus a National Diploma (NQF level 6) in Graphic Design or Computer Graphics or a related field (like Visual Arts) OR Degree (NQF level 7) in Graphic Design subject or Computer Graphics or related field ( Like Visual Arts);

The candidate will be expected to have knowledge and an understanding of graphic design and/or visual design and its compatible software by using design tools including design software (Adobe Illustrator, Indesign, Photoshop, After Effects, Premier Pro, Toon Boom ect.) to create complex concepts by designing and presenting rough drafts of art (i.e., size, colour, typography, images, style, layout and related aesthetic concepts).

Only City of Joburg residents will be considered.
