The Thembisile Hani Local Municipality (THLM) invites applications for the Municipality Bursary Programme 2025.

The Thembisile Hani Local Municipality (THLM) Bursary Programme is offering financial support to students residing within the Thembisile Local Municipality (Mpumalanga) for undergraduate studies in any field.
This bursary is intended to assist students with their registration fees, and is part of the municipality’s socio-economic development initiatives.
Eligibility Criteria
- Only South African citizens residing within Thembisile Local Municipality (THLM) area of
jurisdiction who intend on pursuing undergraduate studies at a South African public university,
university of technology or TVET College are legible to apply. - You must have a proven financial need, as determined by household income.
- You must have obtained a minimum average of 60% in your academic results in the year that you
are applying for the bursary. - You must have the proof of acceptance at preferred Institution with the intended study had you
preferred
Requirements
ATTACH ALL OF THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS REQUIRED, AND COMPLETE CHECKLIST BEFORE SUBMITTING:
- Certified ID copy.
- Certified Grade 11 results, as well as your mid-year results if you are currently in Grade 12.
- Certified National Senior Certificate
- Proof of acceptance at preferred institution.
- Proof of Residence.
- Proof of Financial Income not more than R 350 000 per annum or parent or guardian’s sworn
affidavit (those not having a pay slip). - Certified guardian/ parent ID copy.
How to Apply
Qualifying applicants will be expected to enter into a contractual agreement with THLM. Application forms with incorrect/incomplete information will lead to your application being Disqualified.
