Regulatory & Legislative Drafting Specialist
- JOB TITLE : Regulatory & Legislative Drafting Specialist
- JOB LEVEL : D1
- SALARY RANGE : Total Annual Package (CTC) R 772,135.00 – R908,394.00
- LOCATION : ICASA (Head Office – Eco Park, Centurion)
- POSITION STATUS : Permanent
Purpose of the job
To ensure that ICASA adheres to administrative due process in making its decisions; to ensure that ICASA develops lawful, implementable regulations that are both substantively and administratively fair; and to ensure that ICASA executes its regulatory mandate within the parameters of the law.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Honours/ 4year degree in Law (NQF Level 8)
- Admitted attorney/ advocate
- Minimum 4 years practicing as an attorney, advocate and/or legal specialist; alternatively minimum 2 years practicing as an attorney, advocate and/or legal specialist and not less than 2 years’ experience in ICT regulatory
- Experience with handling litigation and drafting contracts/legislation
- Solid regulatory/ICT acumen (distinct/added advantage).
Analyst – Wholesale Regulations
- JOB TITLE : Analyst – Wholesale Regulations
- JOB LEVEL : C4
- SALARY : Total Annual Package (CTC) R594,116.00 – R742,646.00
- LOCATION : ICASA (Head Office, Eco Park, Centurion)
- POSITION STATUS : Permanent
Purpose of the job
Provide high-quality economic analysis, including anticipating and considering counter-arguments or different points of view, and support to the Policy Research and Analysis division, Council and other divisions within ICASA.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A degree in Economics or Econometrics (NQF Level 7).
- Postgraduate degree in Economics or Econometrics will be an added advantage.
- A minimum of five years’ working experience of which three years must be in a research field, preferably in economic research.
Complaints and Compliance Committee
Invitation to Serve on the Complaints and Compliance Committee (CCC) of the Independent Communications Authority of South Africa: One (1) Position.
Required qualifications: Applicants must be in possession of an appropriate Honours or Master’s degree qualification in Economics, Commerce or Engineering.
Required Experience: Applicants must have 5 years’ experience in electronic communications networks services/ postal services/ broadcasting services/ economics/ commerce/ spectrum management. Financial or economic modelling, accounting principles and/or costing experience will receive preference.
