The Road Accident Fund’s mission is to provide appropriate cover to all road users within the borders of South Africa; to rehabilitate and compensate persons injured as a result of motor vehicle accidents in a timely and caring manner; and to actively promote safe use of our roads.

Available job openings

Administrative Assistant x4

This is a 12 month fixed term contract.

Purpose of the Job: The Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing administrative day-to-day support to the respective department. 

Qualifications and Experience  

  • Matric or Grade 12 certificate.  
  • Relevant 1 years’ experience in Administrative or similar environment.

  • Client service orientation

Officer: Legal Administration X 6

NB:This is a 12 Months Fixed Term Contract.

Purpose of the Job: The Officer: Legal Administration is accountable to process documentation relating to claims settlement as well as the effective coordination of processes and procedures that contribute to the efficient early settlement of claims dispute/s outside court proceedings.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelors Degree in Law or equivalent.
  • Relevant 3 years’ experience in a Legal Administration related environment.

  • Judgement and Decision Making
  • Ethics and Values
  • Client Service Orientation
  • Dispute resolution, mediation and negotiating capabilities.
  • Legislation & Regulatory Knowledge including Personal Injury and Third party compensation.
  • Knowledge of laws and legislation that are applicable to the organisation.
  • Knowledge of Civil proceedings in the Magistrate, Regional and High Courts of South Africa.

Consultant: Verification and Validation x2

Consultant: Verification and Validation

Note: This is a 12-month, fixed-term contract position

Purpose of the job: The Consultant: Verification and Validation is responsible for the verification and validation of registered Claims.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree/Advanced Diploma in a related qualification.

Experience

  • Relevant 3 years’ experience in the Claims environment.

Consultant: Pre-Assessment x6

Note: This is a 12 Month fixed-term contract.

Purpose of the Job: The Consultant: Pre Assessment is responsible for the pre assessment of prospective claims applications.

Qualifications and Experience  

  • Bachelor’s Degree/Advanced Diploma in a related qualification
  • Relevant 3 years’ experience in the Claims environment.

Officer: Capital Payment

NB: This is a 12 Months Fixed Term Contract Position

Purpose of the Job: To request capital payment.

Qualifications and Experience

  • NQF 7 (Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma) related qualification to discipline.
  • Relevant 3 years’ experience in claims system, MVA procedures and knowledge of court processes environment.

Technical and behavioral competencies required

  • Communication (written, verbal and listening skills).
  • Customer service orientation.
  • Professionalism.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Interpersonal Relations.
  • Team Player.

Consultant: loss of earnings: Adjudication

Note: This is a 12 Months Fixed Term Contract

Purpose of the Job: The Consultant:  Loss of earnings- Adjudication is responsible for the processing of claimant application with regards to loss of earnings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree/Advanced Diploma in related qualification.

Experience

  • Relevant 3 years’ experience in claims adjudication related environment.

Consultant: Medical Management

Note: This is a 12-month, fixed-term contract position

Purpose of the job: The Consultant: Medical Management is responsible to implemement the medical management activities, medical exception handling and providing administration support in claims processing.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree/Advanced Diploma in Health Sciences /Medical related qualification.
  • Registration with HPCSA/SANCA

Experience

  • Relevant 3 years’ experience in a Medical related environment
