As the global climate crisis accelerates, the need for innovative and scalable financial solutions is greater than ever.
This is where you come in. The AYCAP Climate Finance Fellowship 2025 offers you the opportunity to:
✅ Gain the knowledge and skills to navigate global climate finance mechanisms.
✅ Advocate for increased financial flows to Africa through global platforms.
✅ Conceptualize and pitch bankable climate finance projects that can transform communities.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Age: 24-35 years old.
- Nationality: Must be a citizen of an African country with a valid passport.
- Language: Fluent in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
- Professional Background: Demonstrated strong interest or background in climate action, finance, development, or related fields.
- Experience: Proven track record in climate advocacy, policy, finance, or community development, with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
- Availability: Full commitment to the 9-month program, including intensive training, mentorship, public engagement campaigns, and potential travel.
- Commitment to Climate Finance: Clear understanding of or strong interest in climate finance, with readiness to develop and pitch a capstone project.
- Advocacy Skills: Strong advocacy, communication, or project management abilities, coupled with commitment to influencing climate finance policies at national and international levels.
- Digital Proficiency: Comfortable using digital platforms for advocacy, learning, and communication.
Application Requirements
In addition to completing the detailed application form, candidates must submit:
Video Submission: A 2-minute explainer video addressing the following question: “Why do you think you are a good candidate to be an Africa Youth Climate Ambassador?”. The video should demonstrate your passion, vision, and communication skills. (Have this video at hand to enable efficient upload once you get to that section).
Professional Reference: Contact details for one professional reference who can speak to your experience and commitment to climate action.
How to Apply
Upon review of applications, shortlisted candidates will be invited for a virtual interview to assess their fit for the program further.
