Editorial Internship
Independent local publisher, Jacana Media, is looking for an intern to assist the editing team at our Johannesburg office. In this internship, you will be exposed to the world of publishing and editing, learning how to refine content, uphold editorial standards, and develop practical skills essential to the publishing industry.
You will play a key role supporting the team in editing material for clarity, grammar, and consistency, fact-checking and proofreading, liaising with authors, designers, and other team members, assisting in the development of style guides, and ensuring deadlines are met while maintaining the highest quality standards.

Sales and Marketing Assistant Internship
Independent local publisher, Jacana Media, is looking for an intern to assist the sales and marketing team at our Johannesburg office. In this internship, you will be exposed to the sales and marketing environments, learn how to grow the Sales and Marketing objectives, and develop practical skills.
You will play a key role supporting the team with developing and coordinating sales and marketing content and collateral, creating campaigns, assisting at events, market research, competitive analysis, identifying sales and marketing platforms and targeting customers, preparing sales pitches and liaising with customers, updating and maintaining relevant databases, communicating and following-up with media and other strategic partners.
Are you an excellent communicator, intrepid, confident, tenacious, and up to the challenge of winning over new customers and delighting existing customers? Are you undaunted by administrative tasks? Can you navigate Excel and generally spin the MS Office wheels?
