Job Description
The Binning and Issuing administrator are responsible for the administration and practice of accurate storage and distribution of delivered goods within De Beers Technologies SA.
The role of the Binning & Issuing administrator is responsible for direct physical interaction with Supply Chain colleagues and internal and external clients.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Identify, check, load, unload, bin and record material received timely and accurately.
- Issue, distribute and record material released timely and accurately.
- Consolidate work-in-progress material per manufacturing project.
- Control material accuracy to prevent losses.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure optimum material items are maintained.
- Control, use and ensure timely maintenance of forklift.
- Propose and implement best practice methods and processes to further enhance warehousing.
- Perform any other tasks that can legally and reasonably be expected, i.e. do goods receiving and expediting tasks at times
- Officer (Expediting and Receiving)
- Receives materials for storage or issue to internal clients
- Sale of Spares Assistant / Sale of Spares Specialist / Internal clients
- Provides goods to be distributed
Qualifications
- Matric and Certificate in Supply Chain.
- Warehousing experience
- Forklift and Crane operating certification (advantageous)
Role Specific Knowledge
- Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office, SAP an advantage)
- Basic commercial principles
- Basic logistics principles
- Basic technical / engineering component familiarity.
Skills Required
- Interpersonal skills with the ability to build internal and external customer relationships
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Co-operation, communication and collaboration skills that promote effective teamwork
- Attention to detail
- Excellent timekeeping
- Self-motivated, proactive, energetic and adaptive to continuously changing work priorities.
- Effective communication skills in English (written and verbal)
