Analytical Chemist Internship

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Support with conducting routine and non-routine analysis to support continuous production
  • Assist with basic laboratory administration and interaction with plant personnel
  • Adhere to quality and safety requirements
  • Good housekeeping and responsible waste management
  • Support with the Calibration and Verification of laboratory equipment

  • Capable of interpretation of data and sentencing
  • Able to engage and liaise with suppliers in any event
  • Assist in interpretation of results and writing of reports
  • Ensure all laboratories comply with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 17025

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE

  • National Diploma in Chemistry/Material Science or equivalent qualification
  • Must be deadline orientated and be able to multi – task
  • Good interpersonal skills and coordinating capability
  • Clear security screening record
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Able to work in a team and independently
  • Excellent communication and organising skil

Instrumentation Technician internship

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Maintenance of Instrumentation and related equipment.

  • Install, inspect, calibrate, service and maintain instruments up to and including component level.
  • To interpret engineering design drawings, check for elementary errors and manufacturability and compile Bills of material for purchasing materials needed for maintenance and installation.
  • Install and maintain instrument field devices.
  • Testing of the modules and loop checks.

  • To maintain safe work procedures (monthly SHE inspection).
  • To inspect, service, repair and overhaul field devices and ensure that machines are kept in good running conditions.
  • Basic PLC programming skill (Siemens)
  • To assist electronic and electrical departments if and when required.

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE

  • National Diploma Industrial Instrumentation.
  • Good insight in the step-by-step operations of machinery & processes.
  • Good knowledge & understanding of field devices used i.e., sensors, level sensing, pressures, temperatures, etc.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Good fault finding and trouble shooting skills
  • Be available for standby duties and overtime when and as needed.
  • Must be able to work under pressure.
  • Interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate well at all levels.
