ELIGIBILITY
Citizenship: Applicants must be South African citizens.
Fields of Study: Open to students pursuing or intending to pursue qualifications in:
- Materials Science
- Metallurgical Engineering
- Physics (specializing in photonics is preferable)
- Mechatronic Engineering
ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS
Undergraduate:
- Minimum of 60% in Pure Mathematics.
- Preliminary Grade 12 results must have an average of 70% (excluding Life Orientation).
Masters:
- A Bachelor of Science Honours in a related field with a minimum weighted average of 65%.
PhD:
- A Research Master’s degree in a related field.
- Applicants must identify and approach an academic supervisor before applying.
