Sappi offers a one-year internship opportunity for recent graduates in Commerce or Supply Chain, specifically focused on Inventory and Materials Management.

Job Purpose

This program provides hands-on, practical experience in managing inventory, optimizing material flow, and supporting supply chain operations.

Under the guidance of experienced mentors, interns will gain valuable skills in inventory control, stock management, and procurement processes, ensuring a seamless transition into the professional world of materials management.

Main Responsibilities

The main responsibilities of the job:

• – Provide administrative support to the sales, production and supply chain departments.
• – Assist customers with queries related to their orders.
• – Assist the supply chain team with forecasting, inventory planning and scheduling.
• – Process orders using Sappi’s standard operating procedures and review orders placed by peers to reduce booking errors.
• – Assist the Planning department with allocation, block space and urgent manufacturing requirements.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate must have:

• – Grade 12/Matric qualification. 
• – Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, or Business Administration. 
• – No prior experience required.
• – Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and Teams).
