Sappi is offering a one-year internship for recent graduate with a Diploma, Advanced Diploma, or B.Tech in Chemical Engineering.

Job Purpose

This program provides hands-on, practical experience in our research laboratory under the guidance of skilled mentors, helping candidates transition smoothly into the professional world.

Main Responsibilities

The main responsibilities of the job:

• – Perform laboratory and pilot plant experiments according to Sappi’s standard operating procedures.
• – Operate bench top and pilot scale equipment.
• – Generate research data and conduct data analysis.
• – Report data from experiments and field testing in written reports and presentations.
• – Participate in maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate must have:

• – Grade 12/Matric qualification
• – Diploma, Advanced Diploma, or B.Tech in Chemical Engineering
• – No prior experience required
• – Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and Teams)
