RAF Mission
The mission of the Road Accident Fund is to provide comprehensive coverage to all road users within South Africa. This entails the rehabilitation and compensation of individuals injured in motor vehicle accidents while actively promoting road safety.
Positions Available
These are 12-month fixed-term contract positions distributed as follows:
- Onboarding Department: 4 Positions
- Adjudication Department: 4 Positions
- Legal Admin Department: 7 Positions
- Medical Management Department: 2 Positions
Job Purpose
The Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to the respective departments on a daily basis.
Key Performance Areas
Compliance Administration
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of departmental activities.
- Ensure compliance with policies and process standards.
- Stay informed about internal standards to promote sound internal control.
Office Coordination
- Manage correspondence, filing, and telephonic queries; provide general administrative support.
- Maintain confidentiality in all matters.
- Follow up on outstanding issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Validate and verify submitted information and documents for accuracy.
Meeting Support
- Arrange meetings for the department and assist with documenting minutes.
- Maintain a register for tracking outstanding matters.
- Manage team diaries and schedule appointments with stakeholders.
Document and Records Management
- Administer and maintain the filing system according to the RAF filling plan.
- Ensure confidentiality and proper documentation processing.
- Acknowledge receipt of documentation and apply a file number.
Qualifications and Experience
- Education: Matric or Grade 12 certificate.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year in an Administrative or similar environment.
Required Competencies
Technical Skills
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Basic understanding of Supply Chain Management processes and financial acumen.
Behavioral Skills
- Strong planning, organization, and coordination abilities.
- High personal integrity and emotional intelligence.
- Excellent client service skills and written communication capabilities.
