Purpose of the SPCIT Programme
The SPCIT Programme aims to prepare participants for the future skills requirements of the organization through comprehensive training and development.
The program focuses on continuous improvement within our workforce, and successful graduates will be recognized as competent Senior Process Controllers.
Requirements
To apply for the SPCIT Programme, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Educational Qualifications:
- Matric with a minimum 60% pass in Pure Mathematics and Science
- Diploma in Chemical Engineering and/or Pulp & Paper
- Additional Requirements:
- Valid South African driver’s license
Key Deliverables
Successful candidates will be expected to develop the following skills during the programme:
- Proficiency in SAP/Microsoft for accurate reporting
- Chemical safety knowledge
- Ability to perform production tasks including pre-start checks, assisting with plant startups and shutdowns, and monitoring production process systems
- Conduct routine checks to minimize equipment failures
- Ensure safe operations in accordance with Mondi policies and procedures
- Engage with the Production Manager regarding equipment performance issues
- Expertise in troubleshooting and root-cause analysis
