About RSR:
The RSR is a public entity established under the National Railway Safety Regulator Act. It exists to oversee and ensure that railway safety performance is maintained across all operations in South Africa, including those extending from neighboring countries.
Who Should Apply?
The bursary is available to South Africans aged between 15 and 35 who meet the following criteria:
Eligibility Requirements:
- Citizenship: Must be a South African citizen.
- Funding Status: Applicants should not be receiving financial assistance from another institution or bursary.
- Education Level:
- School Leavers: Must submit Grade 11 or mid-term Grade 12 results with at least a 65% average.
- Current Tertiary Students: Must provide an academic record with a minimum average of 65%.
- Institution Admission: Proof of registration or admission from an accredited institution such as a TVET college, University of Technology, or a public/private university in South Africa.
- Interview Availability: Must be available for an interview if requested.
- Commitment: Successful applicants must sign a bursary agreement.

- Technology: Information Technology
- Management: Human Resources, Financial Management, Supply Chain Management, Risk Management

Application Process:

- Complete the Form: Ensure all fields are accurately filled out.
- Attach Supporting Documents: Include certified copies of:
- Admission or registration letter for 2025.
- Latest academic record (Grade 11, mid-term Grade 12 results, or current tertiary results).
- Identification document (ID).
- Motivational letter explaining why you deserve the bursary.
- Quotation for tuition fees for the 2025 academic year.
- Submission Deadline: Applications must be submitted by 17 January 2025.
- Method of Submission: Applications must be submitted manually; emailed applications will not be accepted.
Important Notes
- The RSR reserves the right to withdraw the bursary invitation without awarding any bursaries.
- Personal information will be processed in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
- Incomplete applications will be automatically disqualified.
