Programme Highlights
The South African Presidency invites unemployed graduates to apply for the Internship Programme 2025/2027.
Closing Date: 23 December 2024 at 16h00
Stipend:
- R7,450.63 per month for National Diploma, Bachelor’s, or Honours Degree holders.
- R8,987.83 per month for Master’s Degree holders.
Centres:
- Pretoria and Cape Town.
Requirements
Applicants must possess one of the following qualifications:
- Social Science/Sociology
- B Com Economics
- Industrial Engineering
- Research/Public Policy/Development Studies (with Research as a major)
- Development Studies/Public Administration/Political Studies
- National Diploma in Media Studies/Communications/Public Relations/Creative Writing
- Honours/Masters in Economics/Development Studies/Statistics/Town and Regional Planning
- Diploma/1st Degree in Communication or Journalism (with a focus on digital communication and social media)
- National Diploma/BA Degree/B-Tech/Honours/Masters in Public Administration/Business Administration/Public Management
- NQF Level 6 in Public Management/Records Management/any other Administration-related qualification
- National Diploma/Degree in Public Administration/Management/Business Management
- NQF Level 6 in Risk Management/Auditing/Internal Auditing/Social Science or equivalent qualification
- Law/LLB
- National Diploma or Degree in Financial Accounting/Cost and Management Accounting/Financial Management/Accounting
- National Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management/Public Administration/Social Sciences/International Relations
- National Diploma in Information Technology (Software Development/Information Systems/Technical Applications/Web and Application Development) or related on NQF Level 6
- Recognised Bachelor’s Degree on NQF Level 7 in Occupational Health and Safety/Environmental/Risk Management/Security Management or equivalent qualification
- Bachelor or Masters of Architecture

Note:
- Unemployed South African graduates/postgraduates who are younger than 35 years, with a tertiary qualification in the listed fields, are invited to apply.
- Only those who have not been previously employed under any internship programme will be considered.
- Applications must be submitted on form Z83 and include a comprehensive CV.
- It is the applicant’s responsibility to have foreign qualifications evaluated by the South African Qualification Authority (SAQA).
- Incomplete applications will not be considered.

- Shortlisted candidates will undergo pre-employment screening for suitability.
- Candidates must be willing and able to arrange their own accommodation, as the positions offer a stipend rather than a salary.
