Purpose of Job

The Process Controller will coordinate and direct maintenance and repair services for a specific process within a production line, utilizing control panel management and engaging in more complex troubleshooting.

Key Accountabilities

  • Provide timely feedback to supervisors on work progress.
  • Participate in risk assessments in accordance with legislation and company standards to enhance safety.
  • Maintain good housekeeping practices and comply with waste disposal procedures.
  • Work independently while having a thorough understanding of the business, drives, and KPIs.
  • Contribute effectively in shift handover meetings.
  • Identify personal training and development needs and include them in your Personal Development Plan (PDP) with group leader approval.

  • Conduct on-the-job coaching of learners and present on specific plant equipment as a Subject Matter Expert (SME).
  • Conduct Integrated Management System (IMS) inspections to maintain and improve plant sustainability.
  • Collaborate effectively within a team, especially during emergency situations to restore plant operations.
  • Provide and receive feedback across disciplines to address daily issues.
  • Contribute to toolbox talks aimed at enhancing plant safety.

Formal Education

  • Matric/N3 with Mathematics, English, and Physical Science.
  • CHIETA NQF Level 2 Qualification.

Working Experience

  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

Licenses:

  • Valid Driver’s License.
