The Enterprising Futures Scholarship is a fully funded opportunity for young leaders and entrepreneurs from select countries to attend the One Young World Summit 2025 in Munich, Germany.

This initiative is aimed at empowering young individuals to address pressing global challenges, particularly those related to youth employment and entrepreneurship.

Scholarship Benefits

Selected scholars will receive:

  • Hotel Accommodation during the Summit, including:
    • One night of accommodation for visa application (if required)
    • An additional pre-Summit night (if needed)
  • Travel Costs:
    • Round-trip flight to Munich (economy class)
    • Domestic travel to the airport for international flights (economy class)
    • Travel expenses for visa application (if applicable)
  • Visa Costs: All costs related to visa applications will be covered.
  • Catering: All meals covered during the Summit (breakfast, lunch, and dinner).
  • Transport: Shuttle service between accommodation and the Summit venue.
  • Networking Opportunities: Access to additional events organized by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs and lifetime membership to the One Young World community.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfill the following requirements:

  • Age: Between 18 and 35 years by the date of the Summit in November 2025.
  • Engagement: Actively involved in youth employment and job creation, either as an entrepreneur or in a similar role, with demonstrable experience.
  • Nationality: Must be a national and resident of one of the following countries:
    • Algeria, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Côte d’Ivoire, Egypt, Ethiopia, Iraq (including Kurdistan region), Jordan, Kenya, Lebanon, Mali, Mozambique, Morocco, Niger, Nigeria, Palestinian Territories, Senegal, Somalia, Sudan, South Sudan, Tunisia, Uganda.
      (Note: Candidates with refugee status are also eligible.)
  • Language Proficiency: A working understanding of English is mandatory, as all programs will be conducted in English.
  • Availability: Must be available for full-time participation from 2 – 7 November, including any pre- and post-programme dates.

Expectations from Selected Scholars

  • Active participation in the scholarship program and related events.
  • Collaboration with the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs to broaden the network of young role models and entrepreneurs.
  • Willingness to share contact details with Dutch embassies in the eligible countries.
