The Department of Sport, Arts & Culture, in collaboration with the National Youth Development Agency (NYDA), is inviting applications from young individuals in the Creative & Cultural Industries for a TWO-YEAR National Youth Service Programme known as The Young Creatives Programme.
Closing Date: Applications must be submitted by 20 FEBRUARY 2025.
Stipend: Monthly stipend of R4,000 (Four Thousand Rand Only).

This initiative aims to mobilize communities and engage youth in arts and culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement arts and cultural activities in Community Arts Centres and schools.
- Collaborate with schools and youth formations to engage in The Young Creatives Programme and related community activities.
- Coordinate and support various events of The Young Creatives Programme within the community.
- Build and maintain relationships with local community organizations and youth groups.
- Oversee the monitoring of The Young Creatives Programme in schools and Community Arts Centres.
- Commit to personal development and growth.
Requirements:
- Grade 12 Certificate; a tertiary qualification is an advantage.
- Aged between 18 and 35 years.
- Background in the creative and cultural sector.
- Strong facilitation and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in English and a local language.
- Excellent communication skills and a background in youth development.
- Ability to take initiative, be proactive, and pay attention to detail.
- Demonstrate the capacity to serve as a role model.
