A vacancy exists for a Supply Chain Management Practitioner to manage the sourcing of goods, services, and works in accordance with relevant applicable legislation and SANParks procurement policies and procedures for infrastructure within the Parks Division.
- Location: Groenkloof National Park (Head Office), Pretoria

The successful candidate will report to the Manager SCM: Infrastructure & Special Projects in Head Office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain Infrastructure Projects Contract Registers and ensure timely reporting.
- Coordinate the identification of infrastructure procurement needs as informed by the Annual Procurement Plan and Demand Management Plan.
- Administer RFQs and bids for infrastructure procurement.
- Provide expert advice to end-users regarding the development of short and long-term service level agreements for repeat purchases in conjunction with the SCM Infrastructure Office.
- Build, maintain, and manage stakeholder relationships.
- Monitor and report on supply chain transactions as per directives from the SCM Infrastructure Office.
- Manage risks associated with the procurement of goods and services.
- Provide SCM support during internal and external audits.
- Report on irregular expenditure.
- Perform any other responsibilities assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements:
- Degree/Diploma in Supply Chain Management.
- Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in Supply Chain Management.
- Minimum of 2 years working with audits (internal and/or external).
- A valid driver’s license.
- Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft packages.
- A working knowledge of relevant legislation, including PFMA, PPPFA, SANParks policies, general procurement guidelines, and CIDB prescripts.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Flexibility and the ability to meet tight deadlines and work independently.
Salary and Employment Conditions:
- The remuneration package includes an all-inclusive cost to company salary, pitched at Grade C4 Peterson Scale.
- The successful candidate will not be provided with official accommodation in the park.
