Position Overview
Eskom is looking for two qualified Artisan Carpenters to join its Construction Services team in the Western Cape. The role involves performing carpentry tasks for substation projects, ensuring high-quality workmanship and safe operations. Selected candidates will work with carpentry tools and materials, support production activities, and contribute to training and safety compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform carpentry tasks such as cutting, shaping, measuring, and joining materials
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and quality
- Operate hand and power tools safely
- Support production and construction activities
- Follow safety procedures and regulations
- Assist with training and on-the-job coaching when required
Minimum Requirements
- Carpentry Trade Test qualification
- Equivalent carpentry qualification recognised by the Government of South Africa
- Understanding of carpentry techniques and materials
- Knowledge of safe operation of hand and power tools
- Familiarity with the OHS Act 85 of 1993
